Browse the local markets and food stalls in the afternoon, and as afternoon turns to evening wind down with some cold beer and delicious traditional snacks.
You will begin your tour by meeting with a local and knowledgeable guide who will take you on a culinary journey around the city. This adventure will start in a local market where you can take in all the best sights and sounds of Hanoi and get to grips with many of the ingredients used in Vietnamese food. You will meet with Mrs Hang, a home cook who will take your through the different items on offer in the market, and will then teach you how to make a traditional Vietnamese dish of your choosing.
After the cooking class, you will move on to a hidden gem in Hanoi in the form of a traditional coffee house that grinds its own beans, and you can even buy some of the coffee on offer here to take home as a souvenir.
From there you will get to visit a secret location to try one of Hanoi’s most quintessential dishes, so keep an open mind and an appetite for adventure and you won’t be disappointed.
In the afternoon you will get to go on a street food tour of the Old Quarter of Hanoi where you can sample traditional delicacies from local carts as well as buy some mementoes of the trip such as local sweets or snacks.
As the sun goes down, you will end the delicious day with some chilled Vietnamese beers as you watch the world go by from a local cafe, which will of course come with a selection of traditional Vietnamese beer time snacks.
All you need to enjoy this tour is an appetite for the best bites that the city has to offer and a thirst for seeking out some of the culinary hidden gems that can be found in this delicious foodie city.
