You will find both Milford and Doubtful Sound deep down in the South Island of New Zealand in the Fiordland National Park.

Milford Sound&nbsp;is around 13kms long and famous for its dramatic mountain peaks waterfalls. Home to Mitre Peak, it&rsquo;s easy to see why people flock here.

Doubtful Sound&nbsp;is three times longer than Milford Sound, home to three arms named Hall, Crooked and First arm. Commonly known as the sound of silence and famous for Wildlife sightings, Doubtful is a real adventure experience.

Non-slip shoes/boots, waterproof jacket, warm sweater/fleece jacket, sunscreen/sunglasses, insect repellent, camera and cash.

This guided cruise across Doubtful Sound is the perfect opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the spectacular scenery of New Zealand. Doubtful Sound, located in Fiordland, is the second-most-popular attraction in New Zealand thanks to its pristine wilderness, captivating mountains and natural wildlife.&nbsp;

On this tour, you will cruise across the sound for three hours, which will allow plenty of time to soak up your gorgeous surroundings. Be sure to have your camera ready, as you may spot dolphins or perhaps even penguins amongst other sea and sky creatures. Feel free to bring a packed lunch to enjoy as you sail. Snacks are avaible on board; cash only.&nbsp;

After your tour, you will return to shore, where your bus driver will be waiting to return you to West Arm. Then, you will cruise back to Manapouri.

We had booked this trip and had it confirmed with Backpackers therefore believing it was to go ahead only to discover when we got to Te Anau that the company Go Orange did not have us booked on it therefore we missed the date when we were in Te Anau. Backpackers confirmation is not a confirmation with the company organising the trip be warned

Doubtful sound trip

Even though we had lots of rain, the cruise was a true pleasure. The staff was wonderful and made the whole experience very enjoyable.

In the event of an emergency:

In the unlikely event of an emergency during this experience, all guides will respond as necessary to ensure all travellers safety. The guides will contact emergency services as required and work with relevant parties to ensure safety for all involved.

Travellers should be aware that in New Zealand any claims for personal injury are limited by a government scheme and passengers should obtain their own insurance should they wish to do so.

Cancellations:

	<li>In the event of a cancellation or amendment to your booking, refunds will only be granted when the supplier receives notification at least 24 hours prior (NZ time) to departure date.</li>
	<li>If you have booked through an agent, third party booking site or discount website, the terms and conditions specific to these booking platforms will need to be adhered to. The supplier&#39;s cancellation policy is only valid for those who booked directly through the supplier. This is either through the supplier&#39;s website or in store on Shotover Street, Steamer Wharf, Town Centre Te Anau or the Milford Sound Terminal.</li>

Cruise

<ul>
	<li>Cancellations: No refund is given if less than 24 hours (Milford Sound) notice is received prior to departures.</li>
	<li>Coach, Cruise, Coach: In event of road closures due to weather, and the result is that cruise departures cannot be reached, full refunds per person will be given. For Self-Drivers if road closures prevent reaching Go Store check- in, full refunds will be given.</li>
	<li>Dietary requirements will be catered to at best of ability &ndash; not all dietary requirements will be met.</li>
	<li>Self-Drive: Those choosing to self-drive must allow adequate time to arrive, park and check-in at either Milford or Doubtful Sound Go Store. Failure to check-in and board the boat with adequate time will be considered a cancellation with less than 24 hours&rsquo; notice and no refund will be given.</li>
	<li>If the boat is unable to facilitate the experience, travellers can be transferred to a different date/time or potentially over to a Real Journeys cruise of consistent timings if required.</li>
	<li>The sighting of wildlife is not a guarantee and lack of wildlife sightings is not considered reason for refund.</li>
</ul>
