It is a safety requirement&nbsp;that all travellers are able to walk from the bus across to the balloon basket, board the basket via two foot holes (1.2m in height) and stand for the duration of the flight all unassisted.

The standard daily departure includes a 30-min&nbsp;balloon flight.

The flying area on the Gold Coast Hinterland is specially chosen to&nbsp;offer&nbsp;the most reliable hot air balloon departures available in the whole of South East Queensland, protected by the hills and valleys very few days are lost to the weather and the Operator flies&nbsp;year-round.

&nbsp;

If the Operator has&nbsp;to cancel due to weather conditions, you will be entitled to an easily arranged 100% refund.&nbsp;However, of course, they&nbsp;would love to have you back and fly successfully&nbsp;on another occasion so they can&nbsp;instead hold your booking for a few weeks or months while you re-schedule. Your driver would arrange this for you on the morning.

The minimum age for hot air ballooning required by Australian regulations is three years old. All children under the age of 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times. You may be asked to produce proof of age for your child so please bring your ID along for your flight.

The basket is 1.2 meters in height and all travellers must be able to get into and out of the basket unassisted. Small children will be placed in the basket so it is safe for them to see without being on the outer edge. Hot Air Ballooning is a very popular activity for both locals and visitors to the Gold Coast.

The early morning alarm clock will be worth it for the exciting and scenic hot air ballooning adventure over the Gold Coast hinterland. The morning starts with pick-up from selected Gold Coast hotels &ndash; times will vary based on the season but might be as early as 3.50 am. Not to worry though, you can take a nap on the air-condition coach transfers to the hot air balloon launch site.&nbsp;

When you arrive at the launch site, you&#39;ll be able to watch the fantastic hot air balloon inflation display. Then, it&#39;s time to board for takeoff!&nbsp;A wonderful team of knowledgeable pilots are guiding your balloon. They have some amazing facts to share about hot air ballooning and will be&nbsp;ready and waiting to answer all your questions and have a bit of fun.

The Gold Coast hinterland is&nbsp;an area of beautiful waterfalls, stunning mountain vistas and hidden retreats. As the sun rises over the coast, it casts a warm glow over this spectacular scenery as you drift quietly over the landscape. It&#39;s a genuinely excellent way to start the day.&nbsp;

After your flight,&nbsp;it&#39;s a short drive to O&#39;Reilly&#39;s Grand Homestead &amp; Boutique Vineyard. You&#39;ll have exclusive access to the vineyard, where you can relax in the historic surroundings with a glass of champagne to toast your morning. Enjoy a delicious, fresh breakfast as you revel in the serenity of the vineyard on the verandah of this picturesque grand Queenslander.

After breakfast, you will have time to visit the premium boutique cellar doors, where you can do some wine tasting. The&nbsp;cellar door tastings showcase all of the Canungra Valley Vineyard wines,&nbsp;including Chambourcin, Semillon, Shiraz, Verdelho and more.&nbsp;There is no cost for tasting, and you are welcome to purchase wines to take home as well.&nbsp;

Finally, it&#39;s time for the journey back to your pick-up point on the Gold Coast. Alternatively, you can choose to be dropped off at one of the theme parks or shopping centres &ndash; just advise your preference when you book.&nbsp;
