Explore East Australia’s stunning coastline on this unforgettable marine adventure, enjoying the freedom of kayaking through the secluded waterways and ancient mangroves as we go on a true journey of discovery, uncovering the fascinating history of this incredible region and coming face to face with some of Australia’s most iconic marine life.

Our amazing guided kayaking tour starts from the beautiful Surfside, in Batemans Bay, departing at either 8:30 am or 1pm. Suitable for the entire family, and everyone from beginner to expert, our awesome trips last about 2 hours, including breaks, snacks and photo opps. After a quick safety briefing, we take to the water where our friendly, experienced guides will make sure everyone gets to grips with the unique sit-on-top style of our glass bottom double kayaks before we head out to the open ocean.

Enjoy Sydney’s incredible coastline as we paddle out to sea, chasing schools of tropical fish as they dart beneath our boats and experiencing the awesome thrill of being able to see down into the depths of the ocean through our unique viewing windows. Come face to face with octopuses, crabs, sting rays, fiddler rays and so much more as we glide back towards the shoreline and make our way through the sheltered waterways of Batemans Marine Park Sanctuary.

This unique ecosystem of sand flats, seagrass beds and ancient mangroves is home to some of Australia’s most amazing marine life, as well as holding significant cultural meaning to the local Aborigines, the Yuin people, who have lived in this area for over 12,000 years.

Our knowledgeable guides share the legends and folklore of these fascinating people and this ancient culture as we explore the tranquil waterways, stopping on a secluded riverbank to enjoy a delicious morning or afternoon tea and to take in our spectacular surroundings before we slowly paddle back to the jetty. Please meet your guides at the carpark opposite 7 Myamba Parade, Surfside, 10 minutes prior to tour departure (unless otherwise directed via telephone or email). There are no bathroom facilities at this location, so please come prepared for your adventure. Tours run at 8am and 1pm.

Frequently Asked Questions

No previous kayaking experience is necessary as we will teach you the ropes.

Sun protection e.g. a hat and suncream
Drinking water: One bottle per person
Clothes you are happy to get wet (board shorts, t-shirt, activewear)
Any prescription medication
A towel and a change of clothes for after the tour
Shoes suitable for coastal walking (water shoes, sandals, sneakers, thongs are NOT recommended)

We recommend you leave valuables like jewellery and mobile phones behind in your car. If you would like to take your mobile phone in order to take photos, we recommend you carry it in a waterproof phone case. If you don’t have one, you can purchase one at the beginning of your tour. Photos will be taken during your experience which you will receive the following day, free of charge.

The only time a tour would be postponed, cancelled or altered is if the swell and wind are not suitable, if it is storming or a torrential downpour. Rain can lead to a truly magical kayaking experience.

Weather - where the tour is cancelled due to weather, alternate routes or date may be sought.

Cancellation Policy:

COVID Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation due to COVID-related government restrictions beyond guest and operator control, received by the supplier more than 14 days prior to tour departure is eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations within 14 days, the supplier offers a 70% refund, and 30% (or equal to tour deposit) will be issued as a voucher to re-book, with a 3-year validity.
Flights and travel to each tour start location are not the supplier's responsibility and not covered in this policy, travellers wishing to redeem loss of travel expenses will need to consult their travel insurance policy (recommended) or the transport company (plane, train, bus).

Standard Cancelation Policy (non covid reasons)

Any cancelations prior to 7 days are eligible for a full refund. If you cancel your tour within 7 days the supplier does not give refunds of your tour or hire departure, you can choose another date, store credit or gift your experience to a friend.
A full refund will apply to tours cancelled by the supplier due to inclement weather or any safety reason if the tour cannot be rebooked to the customer’s satisfaction.
