Start your day like most Eyre Peninsula locals, resetting and rejuvenating by the ocean.

 

This tour takes in Coffin Bay National Park, home to a swathe of the Eyre Peninsula's best beaches, including Almonta Beach. Here, you can roam secluded, sandy shores without another soul in sight - except for the resident mob of kangaroos and emus - then settle in by the sea for morning tea with panoramic views across the vast landscape.

 

Venture around the coast to our next destination, where world-famous Coffin Bay oysters are primed for tasting. Meet the local producers – Chris and Linda – and learn about the Eyre Peninsula's enviable seafood industry as you glide through crystal-clear waters to Experience Coffin Bay's working oyster farm. Pluck your very own oysters straight from the ocean, learn how to shuck your fist-sized Pacific prize, then sample the briny fruits of your labour.

 

The taste of the ocean on your tongue, vivid waters lapping at your waist and a gentle sea breeze on your cheek – this is a gourmet experience to awaken your senses. After your oyster epiphany, cruise back to shore. You may even be joined by the local pod of dolphins who call these waters home.

 

Your gourmet seafood escape continues back on land. Pull up a seat overlooking the bay at 1802 Oyster Bar & Restaurant, where head chef Andy will introduce you to his favourite local produce sourced from the surrounding sea and land with an exclusive tasting menu. Take your time and take it all in before we meander back towards Port Lincoln.

 

The perfect pairing for your seafood feast, local wines and sweeping views await at Boston Bay Wines. Perched above the Southern Ocean, sample a range of premium wine and meet Tony and Sonia, second-generation wine growers and producers.

 

At day's end - cup, belly and soul full – we'll drop you back at your Port Lincoln accommodation between 5pm and 5:30 pm.

Australia has a relaxed attitude to standards of dress. However, depending on the time of year you are travelling, you may need to be prepared for the extremes. Temperatures in Southern Australia in winter (June, July, August) can get quite cold with daytime temperatures from 10 to18 degrees Celsius and nighttime temperatures can reach zero. Please ensure you dressappropriately. You’ll be nice and snug when travelling in the vehicles and staying in your accommodation but for the outdoor activities you’ll need warm jackets and a raincoat, just in case.

In summer, daytime temperatures can be extreme from November to April with temperatures generally in the 30s but sometimes reaching over 40 degrees Celsius. Be prepared to endure extra physical stress due to the heat at these times, especially while on walks. If travelling in summer we recommend that you wear loose, cool, cotton clothing to protect yourself from the harsh sun. A sun hat, sunscreen and sunglasses are a must.

Policies

Terms & Conditions:

  • Dietary requirements can be catered for; please advise these when booking. 
  • Small group tours are operated on a coaster bus with a maximum of 20 people.
  • Private tours are operated in a 7-seater Executive Landcruiser and require a minimum of two people, or the Private Tour Single Traveller rate applies. 
  • This tour requires a minimum of four people to operate. In the unlikely event, this number is not met, you will be given two options. First, transfer your booking to another day. If this is not suitable, we will provide you with a full refund.

Cancellation Policy:

A cancellation will only be effective when the supplier receives written confirmation of the cancellation. If you cancel a tour, the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellations 31 days or more before departure: The supplier will provide a 100% travel credit with unlimited validity or a 100% refund within seven days.
  • Cancellations between 15 and 30 days before departure: The supplier will provide a 100% travel credit with unlimited validity. Or refund the 25% deposit less a $100 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations 3 – 14 days before departure: The supplier will retain the 25% deposit as a cancellation fee and offer a 75% travel credit with unlimited validity. Or refund 75% balance within seven days.
  • Cancellations 1-2 days before departure or failure to board the tour: will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
  • Day tours can be cancelled for free up to 24 hours before departure time
  • Tours are guaranteed to depart once they have met the minimum group number, which is stated in the Know Before You Book section on the individual itineraries
  • If the supplier cancels your tour (except for when a Force Majeure Event occurs), you can transfer amounts paid to another departure date or receive a 100% refund. If the tour is cancelled because minimum numbers have not been met, the supplier will refund your tour price in full.
  • If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced, the supplier is not obliged to make any refunds for unused services.
  • If a tour is cancelled due to a Force Majeure Event, we can offer you a choice of:

 (a) a 110% credit of monies paid for your trip; or

 (b) a refund minus unrecoverable costs.

  • If the cancellation due to a Force Majeure Event occurs after a trip has commenced, the supplier can offer you a choice of a pro-rata:

 (a) 110% credit for the days that remain on your trip; or

 (b) refund minus unrecoverable costs of the days that remain on your trip.

  • Any credit resulting from cancellation under the Force Majeure clause does not have an expiry date and may be applied towards any other available tour offered by the supplier. The credit is not redeemable for cash and excludes third party operators as they will have their own booking conditions.
  • In such circumstances, there will be no claim for damages by either party against the other, and the supplier is not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking, including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.

COVID-19 CANCELLATIONS

  • If the cancellation is due to government-imposed restrictions or border closures: you will be provided with an instant 100% credit with unlimited validity. If this is not suitable, you will be provided with a 100% refund within seven days.
  • If the cancellation is due to you having COVID-19 or ‘flu-like symptoms, in the 48 hours before departure: if a medical certificate is provided, we will hold 100% of monies paid by you in connection with the booking as credit with unlimited validity.
  • If you are unable to continue travelling with us due to a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, the supplier can offer you a travel credit for the unused days of your trip.
