The Maui Brewery Tour takes you out for a fun day or night on the town, showcasing the best of Maui's craft breweries.
Your guide takes you to visit three local breweries, including Maui Brewing Co, Kohola Brewing, and Waikiki Brewing Company. Each venue is unique, offering you several different styles of beer. You'll get to indulge with a tasting paddle at all of them, so you can really get to know their range. Try your favourites and bring some home with you for later.
You'll also get to see behind the scenes where the magic happens with personalised tours that show you the process of brewing, the different styles of beer, how to properly pair food with different beers, and the packaging and distribution side of the breweries. Plus, you'll enjoy lunch or dinner on the open-air lanai at Maui Brewing, followed by hearty appetisers served family-style at Waikiki Brewing.
As you journey between the venues, the van takes you through some of Maui's most gorgeous scenery. In the winter, there's even a good chance you can see humpback whales!
The Breweries
Founded in 2005, Maui Brewing Company is Hawaii's largest craft brewery, operating 100% in Hawaii. MBC is based on Maui, with its production brewery and tasting room in Kihei, as well as pubs in Kahana (Maui) and Waikiki (Oahu). Maui Brewing Company is available in more than 23 states and 10 international countries.
Waikiki Brewing Company opened its first location in Waikiki in 2015. The seven-barrel brewhouse in Waikiki is capable of producing 1100 barrels a year and was at capacity almost immediately, leading the brewery to start looking for a second location. They found the ideal spot in Honolulu's historic brewing district in up-and-coming Kaka'ako. The brand new 20 barrel brewhouse and high ceilings have allowed Waikiki Brewing Company to more than quadruple production and become the third-largest producer of craft beer in the state of Hawaii.
Kohola Brewing is known for producing clean, easy-drinking, and balanced lagers and ales, most notably Lokahi Pilsner, Talk Story Pale Ale, Molokai Stout, Pineapple Blonde, the WaterMan IPA, Lahaina Haze and Red Sand Amber Ale. Kohola was awarded the Bronze Medal at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival in the German-Style Pilsner category. Their beers are available in 12oz cans and on draft statewide.
