DAY 1 - AUCKLAND TO RAGLAN
We're away! First stop on the Northern Voyager trip is the effortlessly cool, laid-back surf town of Raglan - home to one of the world’s longest left-hand breaks! This is your chance to catch some serious waves and see how gnarly your surfing skills are. We've included a free surf lesson on this trip, so you'll be surfing like a pro in no time. Surfing not your thing? No worries, have a wander around Raglan's boutique shops, enjoy a bite to eat at one of the artisan cafes or take a stroll along the famous black sand beach.
DAY 2 - RAGLAN TO TAUPO (VIA WAITOMO)
Let's head underground to magical cave network of Waitomo! Explore this natural labyrinth by crawling, abseiling, rafting or squeezing your way through the dark tunnels. This is your chance to have a go at Black Water Rafting, an experience like no other. All you need is a rubber ring, wet suit and a bit of courage. You'll float along underground streams and jump off waterfalls with only the twinkling glowworms to guide your way. After a jam-packed day exploring Waitomo's Caves it's time for a beer on the shores of beautiful Lake Taupo.
DAY 3 - TAUPO TO NAPIER
Enjoy a delicious breakfast overlooking Lake Taupo and then decide whether you want to explore the lake from it's shores or skies... that's right it's skydiving time! Skydive from 15,000ft over New Zealand's largest lake and look out for Mount Doom as you free fall for 60 seconds. Next up, we head East to the coastal city of Napier situated within the world-renowned wine region of Hawkes Bay. Take your time exploring the Art-Deco streets and sipping your way around beautiful wineries.
DAY 4 - NAPIER TO ROTORUA
We'll venture inland to the geothermal hub of Rotorua. This town is full of adrenaline and adventure, make sure you explore the mud pools at one of the geothermal parks (your entry to Wai O Tapu Thermal Wonderland is included) or hike the Redwod Forest on the edge of town. Want to take things up a notch? Go luging, zorbing or hit the rapids on the mighty Kaituna River.
DAY 5 - ROTORUA
You've got an extra day to do all of those activities you didn't get a chance to yesterday! Our guide will be happy to give you reccommendations on things to do, like taking part in an unforgettable cultural experience at Tamaki Maori Village or visiting the picturesque Shire on the Hobbiton Movie Set from the Lord of the Rings. You'll be able to drink Hobbit cider, brewed nowhere else in the world!
DAY 6 - COROMANDEL
We'll hit the road for a spectacular drive to the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. You'll have the chance to enjoy a few scenic walks and photo opportunities along the way before reaching the coastal town of Hahei. Visit the 'Gateway to Narnia' from the Chronicles of Narnia or as it's more commonly known Cathedral Cove. After you've finished exploring this stunning spot, you'll be able to go kayaking, snorkelling or swimming in the crystal clear waters. As the day draws to a close, we'll dig our very own hot tubs on Hot Water Beach and watch the sun go down as we soak ourselves.
DAY 7 - AUCKLAND
It's time to head back to Auckland. On our way we'll stop off at some off the beaten track locations and scenic spots so you'll be able to get those last few photo memories! Take time to reflect on what an incredible few days it's been, exchange contact details with your new mates and be sure to follow each other on Instagram. We're your Wild Kiwi family now, you've got us for life.
