A driver’s license is not necessary in order to go quad biking in Port Stephens.

You may need it as identification when you complete the Indemnity Form but other than that, you’re riding on private property so it's all covered.

If you have particular requirements or specific needs that your guides should be aware of, please contact the tour provider to discuss this before the day of your trip. On occasion, customers have specific needs relating to:

• Added activities (sandboarding etc)
• Tour times (longer riding times, earlier start/later finish for sunset photography)
• Personal disability challenges
• Age challenges (youth and elderly)
• Group size numbers

As a result, we are very flexible in our delivery to ensure that everyone gets to experience the dunes in some shape and form. We want everyone to have a go!

Our guides will work with you to meet your individual needs, offering you every opportunity for you to ride the quad bike over the sand dunes yourself. This may involve:

• A pre-tour assessment on a smaller training track to develop your confidence and/or demonstrate your ability to safely handle the bike
• The opportunity to be doubled by one of our guides as you ride your quad bike
• The option to travel via a 4WD or Hummer Tour instead
   

For the most part, yes, it does! Come rain or shine, this tour operates all year round (in fact, quad biking across Port Stephens can be even more fun in the wet). 

Tours may be cancelled in cases of extreme weather (such as lightning). If your tour is cancelled, the tour operator will contact you to issue you an open-dated ticket so you can reschedule your trip for another date. This ticket will remain valid for up to 12 months after the original date of your tour.

Everyone receives a bike familiarisation lesson and clear instructions before setting off on their adventure. The track is designed to allow you to hone your skills before you take your quad bike across the sand dunes. This means that whatever your skill level may be, this tour can cater to you!

Each tour is led by two experienced guides who will make sure to prioritise your safety and comfort at all times. 

Prior to departure, your guide will explain the dos and don'ts of riding quad bikes (ATVs) and will take you through some simple safety rules and instructions. You will need to follow these rules for the entire duration of your trip. 

You will also receive safety equipment that you will be expected to wear throughout the tour.

If you disregard these rules and safety expectations while on your tour, you will be asked to leave. This is purely for your safety and the safety of other passengers.
 

If your child is under the age of 16, they must be 130cm or taller to participate in this tour. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to ride a quad bike unsupervised. However, they can be doubled with a responsible adult on a 2-seater bike instead.
